Dwan is a Family Nurse Practitioner from Farmville, NC. She is a NC A & T State University Alumni, member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, member of the North Carolina Board of Nursing, and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She has 23 years of healthcare experience working in the areas of cardiology, breast cancer research, travel nursing, and community health. She is passionate about women’s health, healthcare prevention, and nutrition and fitness. She believes we have a large part to play in our own health and healing. She enjoys traveling, music, dancing, reading, and “a bad pair of heels.” She lives in Farmville with her mother Laura Newton who she attributes as her biggest support, cheerleader, and prayer warrior.
